We present to you our Shim Sham & Trankey Doo Weekend in Dresden. We will train your feel in solo dancing and memorizing routines in medium & fast swing music. We offer perfect learning environment inside a beautiful dance studio. Get inspired, and have great time dancing with us ♪♫
What can you expect?
Solo dancing can inspire can help you get ideas and have more fun on the dance floor. It also enhances your awareness of your own body and create your own personal style of dancing. There will be:: 3x 75min of Shim Sham and there will be:: 3x 75min of Trankey Doo lessons.

Jam Circle reserves the right to cancel the workshop, if need be. In case of a cancellation you will receive a full refund of your purchased tickets. The Jam Circle team cannot held liable for lost property or injuries incurred at the workshop or related to a registration.
+++ You can always find a replacement taking your spot, according to your role (Lead/Follow). You may submit changes until April 20th 2017, 10:00 am. We won’t accept any changes beyond this date.
+++ If you cancel your booking for any reason before October 1st 2017 there is a 20 % cancellation fee.
+++ If you cancel your booking for any reason between October 1st 2017 and October 31st 2017, there is a 50 % cancellation fee.
+++ For cancellations after October 31st 2017, no refunds can be granted.
All registrations are binding, oblige acceptance and payment within 14 days after receiving payment instructions. The German Distance Selling Act bears a two week revocation period, but according to § 312g Paragraph 2 Nr. 9 BGB it is not applicable for ticket sales or camp bookings. Despite this German Distance Selling Act we allow you to transfer your camp registration and party tickets to another person without any fees until June 20th. We also offer the cancellation of your order. The above mentioned cancellation fees apply according to the date of your cancellation.

You grant to Jam Circle the unrestricted rights to take motion and still pictures of you. To use and distribute these pictures and recordings, in any and all media now known or hereafter invented, devised, or discovered, in perpetuity, throughout the world, including without limitation in advertisements, publicity, marketing and merchandising.

Though from our own experience it is not easy finding a host, if you have no private connection to the dance community. Once you got to know the dancers in person it is much easier. Still you should try, or search for couch surfing and airbnb.
SOLO DANCE - VERNACULAR JAZZ - • ANGELIKA, KATHARINA & JENS -- from Dresden, Germany
Angelika tanzt schon von Kindesbeinen an, nahm als Standard und Latein Tänzerin erfolgreich an zahlreichen Turnieren teil. Während des Studiums entdeckte sie zusätzlich Salsa, Argentine Tango und Belly Dance. Seit 2008 begeistert sie der Lindy Hop, dabei v.a. Balboa. Seit 2009 unterrichtete häufig auf Workshops mit Jens. Sie half auch bei der Organisation der ersten Lindy Snacks und bei unzähligen anderen Veranstaltungen als Volunteer und Lehrerin.
Jens – Gründer von Jam Circle deluxe (2010) und Inhaber des Savoy Clubs (2017), begann 2007 Swing. Seit er widerwillig – zu wurde er zu seiner ersten Tanzstunde – verschleppt wurde, ist er unheilbar dem Lindy Hop verfallen. Über die Jahre hinweg erwarb er sich auf Workshops und heimischen Tanzflächen wertvolles Know How auch im 20s Charleston, Balboa und Blues. Neben Lindy Hop wurde Balboa zu seiner großen Leidenschaft. Seit 2012 ist er Vollzeit Tanzlehrer. Er sammelt immer neue Ideen und kann selbst nie genug vom Lernen kriegen. Sein Motto: „Immer neugierig bleiben, denn man lernt nie aus!“
In seinem Unterricht kommen Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene gleichermaßen auf ihre Kosten. Er achtet auf eine saubere Basics, coole Breaks und fetzige Figuren, sich als Tänzer mit kreativen Variationen gut in die Musik einzufügen, und auch einige Dips + Lifts zu beherrschen.
Als Tänzer ist er offen für Stealing + Rollentausch, Lindy Hop + Charleston, Shag + Boogie, Balboa + Blues. Seine offene und enthusiastische Art macht ihn zu einem beliebten und experimentierfreudigen Tanzpartner. Er tanzt nicht vordergründig – eher selten – auf Turnieren mit, belegte aber beim Münchner Balboa & Shag Weekend 2012 den Platz 2 und kam beim World Lindy Hop Day 2015 in Rom sowie dem Plenty Hot 2017 in die Finalrunde.
Um das Wachstum der Swing-Tanzszene voranzutreiben organisiert erfolgreich jährlich stattfindende Wochenendworkshops in Dresden wie die Balboa Dayz, das Plenty Hot und Tiny Blues. Ans Herz gewachsen sind ihm auch die kleineren Wochenend-Workshops wie Lindy Snacks, Balboa Snacks. Um Ausdruck und Kreativität der Tänzer zu steigern gibt er voller Freude sein Wissen über Routinen wie Shim Sham / Big Apple, und im Solo / 20s Charleston / Jazz weiter.
Als DJ Double.O / aka Agent Twist Up ist er spezialisiert auf Lindy Hop, Balboa und Blues Musik. Er mag Herausforderungen und liebt es Menschen mit seiner Musik fürs Tanzen zu inspirieren. Tanzveranstaltungen organisiert er liebevoll, routiniert und besitzt eine gute technische Ausstattung für die Durchführung von Events. Falls ihr Fragen habt oder etwas dahingehendes benötigt, ist er offen für eure Ideen.
